EQUITORUS Equestrian Sport Center

EQUITORUS Equestrian sport center is an innovative architectural complex designed to meet the stringent requirements of high-level equestrian sports and training facilities. Located in the Pushkin district of Moscow region, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning project seamlessly integrates functional excellence with aesthetic sophistication across its 2.54-hectare territory. The complex features a remarkable indoor arena constructed with glued wooden structures, distinguished by an L-shaped gallery incorporating spectator seating and a café. The architectural composition employs a unique approach to spatial organization, with separate buildings picturesquely scattered across the site in a manner reminiscent of traditional Russian manor layouts, while adhering to rigid functional zoning principles. The facility's design emphasizes environmental harmony through its careful material selection and aesthetic choices, including wooden façade treatments with varying board widths and a distinctive two-colored roofing system that creates a striking contrast with the natural surroundings. The complex encompasses comprehensive facilities for horse maintenance, training, and competition preparation, alongside amenities for horse owners and spectators. Notable features include the integration of sustainable design principles, extensive green spaces covering 7,937.4 square meters, and sophisticated infrastructure supporting both competitive sports and therapeutic activities. The architectural solution successfully addresses three primary challenges: functional efficiency, ecological sustainability, and cultural identity preservation, while maintaining the highest standards for equestrian sport facilities.
