Eonian Tile Gallery Mosa Office Showroom
Eonian Tile Gallery Mosa Office Showroom is an innovative interior design project that transforms an 80-square-meter warehouse space into a sophisticated multifunctional environment, combining an office, showroom, teaching studio, and presentation area. Conceptualized as a tile museum, this Bronze A' Design Award-winning project, designed by An Zhi Zheng and Cheng Ze Li, exemplifies a revolutionary approach to commercial space design through its artistic presentation of architectural materials. The design employs staggered, detached layouts and glass volumes to create a weightless aesthetic, while incorporating flexible display systems that maximize space efficiency and create dynamic vertical surface presentations. The interior architecture features a strategic contrast between large white backgrounds that highlight tile textures and black walls specifically designed to accentuate colored tile series. The space's functionality is enhanced through thoughtful elements such as page-like display boards that transform the product selection process into an engaging, book-like experience, and a cleverly designed meeting table with integrated tile storage racks. The design's sophisticated approach to space division utilizes glass walls, gaps, display boards, and sliding doors to define distinct areas while maintaining visual continuity and adaptability. Completed in June 2020 in Taipei, the project demonstrates exceptional attention to load-bearing considerations, incorporating display boards under existing beams while maintaining an open, circular flow throughout the space. The design philosophy emphasizes the treatment of tiles as artworks, elevating the showroom experience beyond conventional commercial displays and creating an aesthetic journey for visitors.
