Environment ,Tranquil Residential House

Environment ,Tranquil Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements within contemporary living spaces. Completed in April 2014 in Taichung City, Taiwan, this 297-square-meter residence masterfully incorporates biophilic design principles to create a serene living environment that reflects its health-conscious owner's appreciation for nature. The design, conceived by Chin-Hsu Huang in collaboration with Yi-Jing Liao and Chun-Chieh Chan, employs a sophisticated material palette of stone, veneer, and streamlined ceiling elements to represent the fundamental natural elements of mountains, forests, water, and landscapes. The project's distinctive features include marble walls that seamlessly merge with wooden interfaces through innovative indented superstructures, while warm-colored veneer extends toward the ceiling in fluid, streamlined shapes that effectively minimize spatial pressure. The design demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in its spatial organization, utilizing texture as a means to both divide and connect common spaces, creating abundant possibilities within open areas. The project, which garnered the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases how thoughtful material selection and architectural elements can create an elegant, quiet spatial atmosphere that promotes wellness and environmental consciousness. The design's success lies in its ability to create a natural, environmentally friendly, and sophisticated living environment that seamlessly blends interior and exterior spaces, establishing a meaningful dialogue between built environment and natural surroundings.
