Envio Application

Envio Application

Envio Application is a sophisticated web-based platform designed for comprehensive management of physical property assets through advanced data processing and visualization capabilities. Developed in 2016 and launched in 2017, this innovative interface solution transforms complex building management operations into an intuitive, user-friendly experience. The application processes millions of data points collected from thousands of sensors across multiple buildings, including measurements for heat, movement, occupancy, gas, water, and electricity consumption, presenting this vast amount of information through accessible visualizations, charts, and graphics. Created by a team led by Martina Vasilj, the platform represents a significant advancement in building automation and management technology, offering seamless integration of smart building functionalities regardless of a facility's size, age, or existing infrastructure. The application's architecture emphasizes accessibility and affordability while maintaining robust functionality, featuring responsive design for both desktop and mobile interfaces. Its unique approach to handling large-scale data visualization and management earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing building management technology. The platform employs a sophisticated login portal system with role-based access control, allowing users to analyze and manage specific portfolio buildings or zones according to their authorization levels. Through extensive customer engagement and iterative development, the application continues to evolve, incorporating user feedback and industry insights to enhance its functionality and user experience. The design process involved comprehensive research including stakeholder insights, user interviews, persona creation, and the implementation of a systematic design approach, resulting in an interface that effectively balances complex data management with user-friendly operation.
