Embodied Perception
Embodied Perception in spatial experience means that the way people move through a space changes how they feel and understand it. When a person walks, turns, or looks around, the body and senses work together to create a full picture of the space. For example, the height of a ceiling or the width of a hallway can make someone feel open or safe, depending on how the body fits and moves in that area. Designers can use this by shaping spaces to guide movement, encourage certain feelings, or help people find their way without needing signs. Lighting, floor texture, and even the temperature of a space can change how the body senses and remembers a place.
