Elovan Camping Trailer

Elovan Camping Trailer

Elovan Camping Trailer is an innovative solar-powered mobile living solution that exemplifies sustainable design principles in recreational vehicles. This compact yet versatile camping trailer, designed by Dr. Hakan Gürsu and recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design category, represents a significant advancement in eco-conscious mobile living. The trailer's dimensions of 3 meters in length, 1.75 meters in width, and 2 meters in height make it compatible with standard towing vehicles while offering comfortable accommodation for two people. Constructed primarily from molded fiberglass, the trailer incorporates sophisticated solar panel technology that powers onboard accessories independently of vehicle movement, ensuring sustainable operation during stationary camping periods. The interior layout demonstrates exceptional space optimization, featuring a foldable double bed with underlying storage, a small closet, kitchen facilities, and a complete bathroom with shower and toilet. A particularly innovative feature is the rear folding table with an attached tent system that extends the living space into the outdoors, facilitating greater interaction with nature and fellow travelers. The design philosophy emphasizes both sustainability and functionality, catering to various use cases from short leisure activities to extended mobile living arrangements. The trailer's development involved comprehensive market research to address existing camping trailer limitations while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This award-winning design successfully overcomes the challenge of creating a high-performance electrical caravan, representing a significant achievement in sustainable recreational vehicle design.
