Elegant Ultimate Residence
Elegant Ultimate Residence is an award-winning contemporary residential interior design project located in Sioushuei Township, Changhua County, Taiwan, encompassing 256 square meters of thoughtfully crafted living space. Completed in February 2016, this modernistic mansion exemplifies a harmonious blend of American and minimalist design aesthetics, featuring distinct thematic elements across multiple floors. The interior architecture, designed by Ming-Hsin Chung, demonstrates sophisticated space planning through its innovative use of geometric configurations and circulation patterns, particularly evident in the second floor's design. The residence incorporates warm wooden materials alongside contemporary elements, creating an avant-garde atmosphere while maintaining functionality and comfort. A notable design feature is the strategic implementation of grille screens as spatial dividers between the living and dining areas, complemented by wood brick flooring that effectively delineates different functional zones while preserving visual connectivity. The designer's approach to creating intimate spaces is exemplified through the thoughtful selection of lower-profile furniture, including couches and tables, while the sophisticated color palette incorporates grey upholstery, stainless steel elements, and veneer-trimmed cabinetry to achieve visual depth. Metallic wall murals serve as striking focal points, embodying a perfect balance between introversion and contemporary fashion. The integration of glass sliding doors between the resting area and kitchen enhances spatial flow and visual continuity throughout the residence. This exceptional interior design project was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation, material selection, and functional layout design.
