Elegant Symmetry Residential House

Elegant Symmetry Residential House

Elegant Symmetry Residential House is an award-winning residential interior design project completed in 2020, located in the Yangmei District of Taoyuan County, Taiwan, that masterfully combines classical aesthetics with modern functionality. The design, created by Li Hut Chin, showcases a sophisticated approach to spatial organization through its thoughtful implementation of symmetrical elements and luxurious material selections. The residence features a striking entrance with white marble walls juxtaposed against black built-in cabinets, creating a powerful first impression that sets the tone for the entire space. The ground floor serves as the main public area, where an open-plan living and dining space is enhanced by silver-marbled segment-patterned flooring that extends to the walls, complemented by metallic warm grey and golden accents that provide elegant visual focus points. A notable design element includes a sophisticated black wooden grille sliding door system that effectively manages the kitchen's integration while maintaining transparency and communication flow. The upper floors, dedicated to private spaces, feature a particularly innovative master bedroom that integrates a home office area, characterized by dark wooden furnishings and a distinctive sliding door featuring a pattern inspired by Klimt's artwork. This prestigious design has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial planning, material selection, and aesthetic innovation. The project exemplifies how residential architecture can successfully balance practical functionality with artistic expression, creating a harmonious living environment that responds to the specific needs and preferences of its occupants while maintaining a strong design narrative throughout the space.
