Elegant Attitude Residential Space

Elegant Attitude Residential Space

Elegant Attitude Residential Space is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies sophisticated spatial planning and thoughtful integration of personal collections within modern living spaces. Completed in March 2019 in Taiwan, this 133-square-foot residential space masterfully balances functionality with aesthetic refinement, featuring innovative design solutions that harmoniously incorporate the owner's porcelain collection into the living environment. The design, created by Feng-An Lin, employs a sophisticated gray luminous palette throughout the floors and walls, serving as a neutral backdrop that enhances the display of carefully curated porcelain pieces. A notable feature of the space is the entrance area, where four specially commissioned round porcelain pieces serve as meaningful installation art, each representing significant dates in the owners' lives. The project's distinctive approach to spatial organization is evident in its implementation of active sliding door systems behind the living room sofa, which can be adjusted to create varying degrees of visual focus and space division. The open-plan dining and kitchen area promotes social interaction while maintaining a sense of spaciousness, with large-format windows that frame seasonal changes in the exterior environment. The design demonstrates exceptional attention to resource efficiency in material selection while ensuring a healthy interior environment. This innovative residential project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases how contemporary interior design can successfully merge personal collections with daily living spaces while maintaining an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
