Elegance In Hold Public Service Center
Elegance in Hold Public service center is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that masterfully integrates Oriental cultural elements with contemporary design principles, completed in 2014 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. This sophisticated public service center, spanning 2,270 square meters, demonstrates a remarkable synthesis of traditional Chinese motifs and modern architectural innovation. The design's centerpiece is the incorporation of the Ruyi motif, a traditional symbol of happiness in Oriental culture, which manifests throughout the project in various forms, from exterior metalwork to interior ceiling installations. The facility's entrance presents a striking architectural statement, featuring a multi-angled curved façade designed to enhance wind resistance while serving as an artistic landmark. The journey through the space begins with a thoughtfully designed water feature and traditional Chinese gateway, leading to an Oriental garden that creates a tranquil transition from the bustling exterior environment. The interior spaces showcase meticulous attention to detail, employing premium materials including wooden laser-cut panels, natural marble, wood veneer, and imported patterned leather. The design team, led by Chin-Feng Wu and Chih-Sheng Fan, successfully created a harmonious balance between luxury and serenity through the strategic use of glass, metal, and botanical elements. The project's exceptional design quality and innovative approach to cultural integration earned it the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its contribution to advancing the field of interior design. The space serves as a sophisticated environment where visitors can explore new housing developments while experiencing a carefully curated blend of aesthetics and functionality, demonstrating how modern design can respectfully incorporate cultural heritage while meeting contemporary needs.
