EL Residence Double Storey Link Bungalow

EL Residence Double Storey Link Bungalow

EL Residence Double Storey Link Bungalow is an award-winning residential architectural project completed in Kedah, Malaysia, that exemplifies innovative interior space design through its sophisticated blend of bold aesthetics and functional optimization. The 2,795-square-foot residence showcases a harmonious integration of masculine and feminine design elements, featuring chrome steel, metal elements, natural stones, and marble as primary materials, complemented by organically-shaped ornaments and furniture that create a balanced aesthetic atmosphere. The design emphasizes spatial permeability and natural lighting, incorporating extensive structural modifications including treated timber piling and ground beams to support newly cast floors, while lightweight brick construction ensures structural integrity during expansion. The project's distinctive features include customized layouts that maximize functionality, open-plan design promoting better circulation and interaction between spaces, and careful attention to Feng Shui principles throughout the interior composition. The residence demonstrates technical innovation through its solution to structural challenges, employing water stop seal technology between new and existing structures to prevent cracking and ensure seamless integration. This sophisticated residential project, completed in January 2019, earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial design, material selection, and innovative architectural solutions that enhance modern living spaces while maintaining cultural sensitivity and technical precision.
