Eclipse Wall Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of natural phenomena and functional design, created by designer Ziqiang He. This sophisticated wall-mounted luminaire draws its conceptual inspiration from the celestial phenomenon of solar eclipses, incorporating two primary elements: a circular LED light source representing the sun and a rotating black metal frame symbolizing the moon. The design's distinguishing feature lies in its ability to simulate the gradual progression of an eclipse through a rotating mechanism, where the metal frame progressively obscures the light source, creating varying degrees of illumination reminiscent of partial and total solar eclipses. The lamp's compact dimensions of 60mm x 15mm x 60mm house advanced technical components, including an LED array, built-in power supply, and a 1800mAh rechargeable battery operating on 5V 1A DC power. The implementation of an angle sensor in the rotation axis enables precise control over the LED illumination, allowing both automatic operation and manual adjustment through physical interaction or mobile application control. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, successfully addresses the technical challenge of reproducing eclipse-like illumination patterns while maintaining practical functionality.
