Echoed Natural Landscape Residential House

Echoed Natural Landscape Residential House

Echoed Natural Landscape Residential House is an exemplary residential interior design project that masterfully integrates natural elements with contemporary living spaces, completed in 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan. This sophisticated 200-square-meter dwelling, designed by Yueh-Huang Liao, demonstrates an innovative approach to harmonizing indoor spaces with their surrounding environment, particularly emphasizing the property's unique position near hills and riverside. The design philosophy centers on creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces through thoughtfully implemented open and semi-open areas, generating fluid, relaxing spatial sequences. The material palette is particularly noteworthy, featuring grey travertine that mirrors the forms of Guan Yin Mountain and Yang Ming Mountain, while Côte d'Azur Stone is employed to complement the riverside views. Natural wooden flooring throughout the public areas and bedrooms enhances the organic aesthetic, while cotton and linen fabric elements introduce tactile softness to the space. The project's innovative approach to ceiling heights and window placement maximizes natural light penetration while capturing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This design, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies how contemporary urban residences can maintain a strong connection to nature through careful material selection, spatial planning, and attention to environmental context, ultimately creating a sophisticated yet comfortable living environment that promotes wellbeing and relaxation.
