E Carpark Parking is an innovative architectural interior design project that reimagines the traditional parking garage concept as a sophisticated sports car museum and social space. Located in Hong Kong, this 1,000-square-meter facility represents a revolutionary approach to vehicle storage, featuring a carefully curated layout accommodating 28 premium parking spaces. The design philosophy centers on four key conceptual pillars: technology, flow, freedom, and future, expressed through an intricate interplay of straight lines and curves that simulate the dynamic motion of vehicles in motion. The space employs a deliberately neutral and technological aesthetic, utilizing materials such as marble, aluminum, fabric, carpet, glass, and specialized coaching and painting techniques to create an atmosphere that emphasizes the vehicles as the primary focal points. The design's distinctive features include sharp strip lighting systems that minimize color competition and enhance the visual drama of the displayed vehicles. This innovative project, which was completed in February 2021, transforms the traditionally utilitarian nature of parking facilities into an experiential destination that combines practical functionality with social engagement. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its contribution to advancing the field of automotive display and social space design. The project successfully addresses the challenge of converting a conventionally dark, enclosed garage into a futuristic exhibition space that celebrates automotive culture while fostering community interaction among car enthusiasts.
