Drink Beauty Food is an innovative culinary design concept that reimagines the traditional tea-drinking experience by combining rock candy crystals with dried lemon slices, creating an aesthetically pleasing and functional food product. This sophisticated design, created by Ladan Zadfar and Mohammad Farshad, transforms conventional tea accompaniments into an edible jewel-like creation that measures approximately 4 centimeters in diameter. The design ingeniously replaces the conventional inedible wooden stick used in rock candy with a carefully selected dried lemon slice of 2.5 centimeters diameter, upon which sugar crystals form through a meticulous crystallization process. This integration not only enhances the visual appeal but also improves the nutritional value by incorporating the vitamins and natural flavors of lemon. The production process involves a precise method where sugar solution crystallization occurs under controlled conditions to ensure optimal crystal formation and clarity. The design, which won the Silver A' Design Award in the Food, Beverage and Culinary Arts Design category, represents a significant advancement in culinary design by addressing both aesthetic and functional aspects of food presentation. The product exemplifies modern design principles by combining beauty with utility, creating a more healthful alternative to traditional rock candy while maintaining visual sophistication.
