Dream of Rose Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of new-classical elegance with contemporary functionality, completed in October 2020 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Designed by Mark Han, alongside team members Simon Lu and Queenie Gan, this residential space masterfully interprets romantic new-classical aesthetics through thoughtful spatial planning and sophisticated design elements. The project's distinctive features include the integration of three-dimensional carvings, Roman columns, and archways that articulate European classical vocabulary, while the entrance showcases luxurious black and gold marble flooring complemented by sophisticated mirror arrangements with classical embellishments. The interior's public domain is characterized by an aqua-blue velvet sofa paired with an ivory white carpet and gold-edged furniture, creating an atmosphere of refined luxury. The bedroom space employs light pink wallpaper and pure white slats as its foundation, enhanced by pink and purple furnishings that contribute to the romantic ambiance. Notable innovative solutions include a multifunctional room featuring a concealed lift bed within a classical cabinet, serving dual purposes as both a reception area and guest room. The project's spatial organization demonstrates particular ingenuity through the implementation of a porch cabinet configuration that maximizes transparency and spaciousness in the public areas, effectively addressing the original building's entrance hall limitations. This residential design, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to detail in its material selection, color harmony, and functional layout, while successfully incorporating the homeowners' personal aesthetic preferences and practical requirements.
