Dream Home Residential

Dream Home Residential

Dream Home Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of sophisticated materials, curved elements, and thoughtful spatial planning to create a luxurious family dwelling. Located on a high floor in Taiwan, this residential space masterfully combines dark tones with various textures and materials to achieve an atmosphere of refined elegance while maintaining warmth and functionality. The design, completed in March 2022 by Hsiao-Chi Chiang, features an innovative L-shaped layout that maximizes natural light and panoramic views through the strategic removal of unnecessary facades. The space encompasses an open-concept public area with an integrated kitchen, living room, and recreation room, complemented by four private bedrooms thoughtfully designed for different family members. Notable design elements include engineered hardwood flooring, white marble, Roma stone, and sophisticated materials such as Valchromat, clay plate, and imported FENIX, all selected for their environmental sustainability and durability. The project's most distinctive feature is its creative treatment of structural columns, particularly an 84cm wide column that was transformed into an aesthetic focal point through the use of dark Valchromat and mirrors. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in material selection, spatial planning, and innovative design solutions. The project's curved elements, extending from the foyer to the living room ceiling and echoed in window frames, create a cohesive design language that symbolizes familial embrace and emotional comfort, while the sophisticated material palette ensures visual depth and textural interest throughout the space.
