Drawing Inspiration From Daily Lifestyle House

Drawing Inspiration From Daily Lifestyle House

Drawing Inspiration from Daily Lifestyle House is an innovative residential interior design project located in Shantou, China, that exemplifies the harmonious integration of functionality and aesthetic appeal through its thoughtful spatial organization and design elements. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project, completed in January 2020, encompasses 240 square meters and demonstrates a sophisticated approach to modern living spaces by transforming a conventional two-hall, five-room layout into an optimized four-hall, four-room configuration. The design philosophy centers on maximizing spatial volume while creating distinct living areas that promote both interaction and privacy. Notable features include a freely arranged parlor that seamlessly blends modern sofas with traditional cabinetry and Indonesian teak stools, creating a vibrant atmosphere that respects cultural heritage while embracing contemporary design principles. The master bedroom suite showcases exceptional spatial planning, incorporating multiple functionalities including a walk-in closet, living area, and audio-video room, while maintaining a connection to the family hall through flexible partitioning. The master bathroom exemplifies meticulous attention to detail with its five distinct functional zones. The project's material palette combines terrazzo, walnut, ultrathin rock panels, black steel, grey glass, and handmade sandstone paint, demonstrating a sophisticated approach to texture and finish. The kitchen area has been thoughtfully designed to embrace auxiliary spaces, including a guest bedroom, bathroom, and balcony, forming a self-contained living quarter that enhances the overall functionality of the residence. This design earned recognition at the A' Design Award competition for its innovative approach to residential interior design, particularly in its category of Interior Space and Exhibition Design, where it demonstrated excellence in spatial organization, material selection, and functional layout design.
