Douban Movie Calendar 2019 Calendar

Douban Movie Calendar 2019 Calendar is an innovative desk calendar that seamlessly integrates cinematic artistry with functional design, earning recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies Design category. This minimalist calendar features a sophisticated construction comprising a 2mm steel bracket with an electrostatic powder coating, finished through a high-temperature baking process at 200 degrees Celsius, and complemented by a specially engineered Ω-shaped stainless-steel ring with a two-double structure that maintains paper alignment and stability. Each of the 366 carefully curated pages showcases copyrighted movie stills and classic cinematic quotations, creating a daily connection between the user and the world of cinema. The calendar's distinctive design draws inspiration from cinema seat architecture, measuring 134mm in width, 121mm in depth, and 220mm in height, while incorporating a detachable ring mechanism that allows users to preserve memorable dates or share them with others. The development process, which spanned from April to September 2018 in Beijing, required extensive research and experimentation to achieve the optimal paper thickness, balancing premium print quality with aesthetic volume considerations. This thoughtfully crafted piece serves both as a functional timekeeper and an elegant decorative element for office and home environments, embodying the philosophy that movies can transform ordinary days into extraordinary experiences.
