Dotline Corporate Identity

Dotline Corporate Identity is a comprehensive visual branding system designed to address the human resource challenges in Japan's welfare industry, created by designer Tomohiro Kaji. This sophisticated identity system, which won the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category, centers around the concept of Social Heroes - a vision that celebrates caregivers and medical professionals who provide essential support services. The design's cornerstone is an ingeniously crafted logo that combines the letters 'D' and 'L' to form a symbolic representation of a hero in motion, complete with a dramatic cape flourish. The identity system employs a sophisticated seven-color palette, each hue corresponding to distinct business categories within the organization's service spectrum, including home medical care, nursing, and employment support services. The design implementation spans various formats, from business cards measuring 55mm x 91mm to large-scale applications such as monorail advertisements extending to 14,800mm x 3,085mm. A custom-designed typeface complements the primary logo, ensuring visual consistency across all communication materials. The project, which commenced in July 2022 and launched in August 2023, represents a significant achievement in corporate identity design, particularly in its ability to address Japan's aging population crisis while elevating the status of healthcare workers through visual storytelling. The design system's success lies in its ability to balance professional authority with approachable humanity, effectively communicating complex social welfare services through clean, modern design principles.
