Dominote Bluetooth Speaker
Dominote Bluetooth Speaker is an innovative tri-directional audio device that seamlessly merges retro-inspired aesthetics with modern functionality, designed by Bulgarian designer Vasil Velchev. The speaker's distinctive design philosophy draws inspiration from classic domino tiles and vintage television sets, manifesting in a sophisticated bi-color exterior that features a uniquely configured control panel with five functional buttons arranged in a domino-like pattern. The name Dominote cleverly combines Domino, referencing its visual design elements, and Note, highlighting its audio capabilities. Constructed with durability in mind, the speaker employs a robust plastic casing reinforced with protective rubber edges, complemented by a metal speaker grille and fabric accent stripe. The device incorporates advanced Bluetooth technology for wireless audio transmission and includes USB charging capability, ensuring convenient portability and user-friendly operation. Its dimensional specifications of 900mm in width, depth, and height create a balanced, symmetrical form factor that contributes to its striking visual presence. The speaker, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Audio and Sound Equipment Design category, represents a thoughtful fusion of form and function, addressing contemporary audio needs while maintaining a distinct design identity. The project, initiated in December 2022 in Bulgaria, demonstrates successful cost optimization while preserving aesthetic integrity and audio performance, making it a notable contribution to the field of audio equipment design.
