Divers’ Goggles
Divers’ goggles, also known as diving masks or scuba masks, are an essential piece of equipment for anyone engaging in underwater activities. These goggles are designed to provide a clear view of the underwater world while also protecting the eyes from water pressure and potential hazards. The goggles consist of a tempered glass or plastic lens that is held in place by a rubber or silicone skirt that creates a seal around the face. The skirt is typically adjustable to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for the wearer. The lenses of diving masks are specially designed to correct for the refraction of light that occurs when it passes from air to water, which can distort the appearance of objects underwater. Diving masks may also feature additional lenses, such as magnifying lenses or color-correcting lenses, to enhance the diver’s experience. Some diving masks also come equipped with a purge valve, which allows the diver to clear any water that may have entered the mask without having to remove it. When selecting a pair of diving goggles, it is important to consider factors such as the size and shape of the wearer’s face, the type of diving they will be doing, and the conditions they will be diving in. Diving masks come in a variety of styles and sizes to accommodate different face shapes and sizes. Some masks are designed specifically for scuba diving, while others are better suited for snorkeling or free diving. Additionally, some masks are better suited for use in colder water or low-light conditions.
