Dish Plug Dish Rack

Dish Plug Dish Rack

Dish Plug Dish Rack is an innovative kitchenware solution that revolutionizes the traditional dish drying experience through its customizable partition system. Designed by Jisu Mun, this versatile dish rack addresses the common challenge of accommodating various dish sizes and shapes while maintaining optimal ventilation and drainage. The design features a unique system of adjustable U-shaped partitions that can be installed directly onto the rack's base, allowing users to modify the spacing between dividers to accommodate different types of dishware, from deep plates to rice bowls. Measuring 450 mm x 350 mm x 71.50 mm, the rack is manufactured using plastic injection molding techniques, ensuring durability and practicality. The innovative design overcomes traditional dish rack limitations by preventing the unsanitary stacking of wet dishes and promoting proper airflow and drainage through strategically placed bottom holes. This thoughtful approach to kitchenware design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, acknowledging its contribution to improving everyday kitchen functionality. The development process, which spanned from March to November 2016, involved extensive research, user testing, and refinement based on feedback from both consumers and industry experts, resulting in a product that effectively balances practical utility with innovative design principles.
