Dianchi Lakeside Garden Villa

Dianchi Lakeside Garden Villa

Dianchi Lakeside Garden Villa is an exemplary residential interior design project completed in 2019, showcasing a harmonious fusion of Western classical design principles with contemporary aesthetics. Located in Kunming, China's Spring City, this 1,050-square-meter villa interior represents a sophisticated interpretation of modern luxury living while maintaining classical elegance. The design, conceived by Xiaohui Chen and team, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its innovative break from traditional layout conventions, employing fluid lines to create dynamic visual rhythms throughout the space. The interior's material palette combines stone, wood veneer, glass, ceramic tile, and acrylic, carefully selected to achieve a balance between classical grandeur and modern sophistication. Notable features include hand-carved wooden headboards adorned with rose branch motifs, exemplifying the project's commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. The villa's design philosophy emphasizes the integration of art and living spaces, incorporating carefully curated furniture pieces that serve as collectible art objects while maintaining functionality. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, particularly excels in its thoughtful creation of leisure spaces that forge strong emotional connections with residents, fostering an environment that celebrates both aesthetic refinement and practical living. The design's success lies in its ability to reinterpret classical elements through a contemporary lens, resulting in spaces that resonate with modern sensibilities while preserving timeless architectural values.
