Diamonds Deflector Oil Bottle

Diamonds Deflector Oil Bottle

Diamonds Deflector Oil Bottle is an innovative packaging design solution that revolutionizes the dispensing of olive oil and other liquid condiments through its sophisticated diamond-grooved mouth design. Created by Chinese designer Xie Feng and team in 2019, this thoughtfully engineered container addresses the common challenge of controlling liquid portions during pouring. The distinctive feature of this design lies in its precisely calculated diamond-shaped groove integrated into the bottle's mouth, which functions as an intelligent flow control mechanism without compromising the overall aesthetic appeal or manufacturing efficiency. The design demonstrates exceptional consideration for both functionality and production feasibility, utilizing either glass or plastic materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness through minimal material usage. This user-centric design particularly benefits individuals who need to maintain strict dietary control, such as elderly users, by providing precise portion control without requiring additional accessories or modifications. The development process involved extensive research and mathematical calculations to determine optimal groove dimensions, angles, and depths, ultimately utilizing 3D printing technology for prototype validation. The design's innovation was recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2020, acknowledging its contribution to solving everyday challenges through intelligent design. The bottle's architecture seamlessly combines practical utility with manufacturing efficiency, representing a significant advancement in packaging design that addresses both consumer needs and production considerations.
