Thirdly, the screed should be properly cured to ensure good strength development. It should be kept moist and not allowed to dry too quickly to avoid cracking. Additionally, it should be allowed to cure for the specified time to attain maximum strength. Finally, the flooring screed should be well designed to take into account the environment where it is being used. The right mix of materials should be used to achieve a screed suitable for the environment it is being used in, for example, an underfloor heating screed should have a higher sand content to enable heat to transfer better.
