Depiction Reception Stage is an innovative architectural stage design concept that masterfully reimagines Roman classical architecture for contemporary wedding reception spaces. Created by Indian designer Arundhati Sathe, this remarkable installation synthesizes historical architectural elements with modern staging techniques to create an immersive ceremonial environment. The design's centerpiece features a meticulously crafted replica of the Baroque-style Fontana di Trevi, elevated 3000mm from ground level, while the main stage platform rises 750mm, creating a dramatic multi-level composition. The comprehensive design encompasses an impressive entrance avenue flanked by 75 Corinthian columns on each side, leading guests along a white fur carpet toward the main stage area. The installation's technical execution demonstrates exceptional resourcefulness in material selection, combining plywood, rubber molding, and fiber components with steel scaffolding support structures. The backdrop's modular construction spans 16700mm x 10600mm x 9144mm, incorporating sophisticated details such as Papalo arms crafted from fiber and rubber-molded Corinthian capitals. The design earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to creating immersive ceremonial spaces. Particularly noteworthy is the project's achievement in accurately recreating classical Roman architectural elements despite limited reference materials and a compressed 20-day production timeline, showcasing the designer's ability to overcome significant technical and logistical challenges while maintaining aesthetic excellence.
