Deco Cupboard

Deco Cupboard

Deco Cupboard is an innovative furniture design that exemplifies contemporary spatial efficiency and functional aesthetics, created by Ukrainian designer Viktor Kovtun. This distinctive piece features a unique suspended configuration where one storage unit is mounted above another, challenging traditional floor-standing cabinet designs. The cupboard's dimensions of 1400mm in length, 740mm in height, and 450mm in depth are carefully calculated to provide optimal storage capacity while maintaining a floating appearance that reduces visual weight in interior spaces. Constructed using a thoughtful combination of wood, plywood, veneer, and metal tubing, the design demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of material properties and structural engineering. The design philosophy behind the Deco Cupboard draws inspiration from natural elements, emphasizing simplicity and accessibility while maintaining functional excellence. Its modular arrangement allows for organized storage through grouped compartments, enhancing user convenience and spatial organization. The design's innovative approach to furniture construction earned it the Silver A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category, recognizing its contribution to contemporary furniture design through its unique suspended architecture and practical functionality. This piece represents a significant departure from conventional cupboard design, offering a solution that combines storage efficiency with architectural elegance, while its customizable color variations allow for versatile integration into various interior settings.
