Daylight Reflection Residential
Daylight Reflection Residential is an award-winning interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of Scandinavian design principles with innovative spatial solutions in contemporary residential architecture. Located on the 12th floor of a residential building in New Taipei City, Taiwan, this 85.95-square-meter apartment transformation masterfully addresses the challenges of non-rectangular spaces and structural constraints through thoughtful design interventions. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases exceptional attention to natural light optimization and material selection. The design's cornerstone features include strategically placed windows in every room, translucent glass corridors, and a sophisticated color palette combining light whites with carefully balanced blue and green accents. The interior architecture incorporates innovative solutions such as LED-illuminated wooden beam treatments, which transform structural necessities into aesthetic features while providing visual guidance throughout the space. The design successfully converts the original three-bedroom layout into a more versatile configuration by adding a glass-partitioned study room and a bay window seating area, maximizing the advantages of the building's elevation while maintaining spatial fluidity. Notable technical achievements include the seamless integration of mechanical systems within existing beam structures and the implementation of a sophisticated ceiling design that preserves spatial height while accommodating essential utilities. The project, completed in 2021, demonstrates exceptional expertise in small-space planning, material application, and lighting design, creating a living environment that balances functionality with aesthetic refinement.
