Located in Taipei, Taiwan, this 120-square-meter dwelling exemplifies contemporary interior design principles while incorporating traditional Feng-shui concepts. The design's centerpiece is a multifunctional screen cabinet at the entrance, crafted from a harmonious combination of ironware and wood, which serves as both a practical storage solution and an artistic statement. The cabinet's front face employs linear and planar elements to create an interplay of light and shadow, while its reverse side features geometric patterns that establish a striking focal point for the living room. The project, completed in 2016, demonstrates exceptional attention to material selection, incorporating natural white marble, wood flooring, polished homogeneous tiles, and strategic lighting elements throughout the space. A particularly ingenious feature is the dining room's iron light box, which doubles as a subtle occupancy indicator for the adjacent guest bathroom while enhancing the dining atmosphere.
