Danish Fuel Portable Speaker
Danish Fuel Portable Speaker is an innovative audio device that represents a remarkable fusion of historical preservation and contemporary sound technology, transforming authentic World War II military fuel canisters into sophisticated portable sound systems. Originally designed by Vinzenz Grunvogel in 1937 as Wehrmacht Einheits Kanister for military supply purposes, these carefully restored artifacts undergo a meticulous transformation process that includes sandblasting, powder coating in isapis green, and integration of modern audio components. The speaker system incorporates high-end audio technology, featuring a 6.5-inch midrange neo woofer and 1-inch neo tweeter powered by a 160-watt Class D amplifier, delivering premium sound quality within its historical housing. The design seamlessly integrates modern functionality with heritage aesthetics, incorporating molded plywood with ten layers of veneer and a smoked oak finish, complemented by anodized aluminum components for the control plate, feet, and identification plates. This limited edition piece, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Limited Edition and Custom Design category, exemplifies sustainable upcycling practices while offering impressive technical specifications including Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, auxiliary input, and an exceptional 72-hour battery life. Standing 48 centimeters tall, 35 centimeters wide, and 17 centimeters deep, this 7.2-kilogram speaker represents a harmonious blend of industrial heritage and contemporary audio engineering, designed and crafted in Denmark with particular attention to acoustic optimization and interior design integration.
