Dalvey Haus Lighting Design

Dalvey Haus Lighting Design

Dalvey Haus Lighting Design is an innovative architectural lighting solution that exemplifies the harmonious integration of illumination with modern minimalist luxury architecture, created by Singapore-based designer Stanley Tay Wee King. This sophisticated lighting concept, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Architectural Lighting Design category, employs a thoughtful three-layer approach to create an emotionally resonant environment that promotes tranquility and healing for residents returning from urban life. The design's primary focus centers on the swimming pool area, from which the lighting scheme radiates outward, utilizing minimal lighting points to achieve optimal brightness levels that enhance the natural elements of flowing water and vegetation. The innovative implementation includes technically advanced solutions such as external optics enhancement for improved illumination coverage while reducing power consumption, and specialized electroplating methods that seamlessly integrate lighting fixtures with architectural elements through gold brass threaded finishing that complements light brown sand-blasted floor tiles. The concept draws inspiration from oasis environments and seaside resorts, deliberately transitioning from subtle daytime presence to becoming the primary source of warmth during nighttime hours, following natural lighting cycles. The design's sophisticated engineering approach is documented through detailed method statements that ensure proper installation and maintenance procedures, while its artistic merit lies in its ability to create an emotional connection with occupants, offering a therapeutic environment that promotes psychological well-being through carefully orchestrated illumination.
