Curvy Chambers Apartment

Curvy Chambers Apartment

Curvy Chambers Apartment is an innovative residential interior design project located in Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong, that masterfully integrates spatial flexibility with aesthetic sophistication for a family of four. The 1,600-square-foot apartment's distinctive design concept draws inspiration from a nearby waterfall, manifesting in two contrasting architectural volumes: a flowing, curvilinear blue volume and a rectilinear concrete volume. The blue volume begins as a bookshelf with random niches in the lounge, continuing as a corridor that conceals the children's room and guest room before flowing into the master bedroom area with integrated storage and seating. The concrete volume, characterized by its strong geometric presence, extends from the entrance foyer through the dining area. The design incorporates innovative solutions for privacy management through concealed pocket sliding doors with acoustic separation, allowing for dynamic spatial arrangements between the master bedroom suite, study room, and children's spaces. The interior features carefully selected materials, including ceramic tiles with wood textures for visual warmth and durability, high-quality chalkboard laminate surfaces in the children's areas, and prefabricated concrete panels from France enhanced by continuous LED lighting. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project exemplifies excellence in residential interior design through its thoughtful integration of functionality, aesthetics, and family-oriented spatial planning, while maintaining a strong connection to its seaside location and prioritizing occupant wellbeing.
