Curved Paper Sales Center Sales Center

Curved Paper Sales Center Sales Center is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the sophisticated integration of form and function through its unique conceptual approach of 'box in glass' design philosophy. This 600-square-meter space, completed in 2018 in Shanghai, China, represents a groundbreaking interpretation of spatial design where traditional walls are replaced with box structures and tunnels as boundary elements. The project's distinctive feature lies in its extensive use of floor-to-glass elements in the building elevation, complemented by a dramatic beveled roof that creates dynamic interior ceiling heights. The design employs a revolutionary concept of curved paper elements, manifested through carefully crafted timber finishes and artificial stone surfaces, particularly prominent in the reception area. The interior architecture demonstrates exceptional ingenuity in its construction methodology, utilizing steel structure, plasterboard, and timber finish to achieve complex curvilinear forms, especially challenging in 90-degree corner transitions. The project, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, showcases remarkable space optimization through its innovative division of functional areas including bar, control room, and reception zones. The design's execution involved sophisticated 3D modeling techniques to ensure precise 1:1 spatial simulation, resulting in construction that perfectly aligned with the digital renderings. This project stands as a testament to the possibility of creating visually striking and functionally efficient spaces using cost-effective materials while maintaining high design standards.
