Cubix Stationery set is an innovative office organization solution that exemplifies the harmonious balance between order and creative freedom in workplace environments. Designed by Alexander Zhukovsky, this cubic-shaped stationery set comprises three distinct components: a paper clip container, a sticker storage box, and a uniquely engineered pen holder, all unified within a 100mm cubic form factor. The design's most distinctive feature is its revolutionary pen holder, which incorporates elastic red silicone rods manufactured through a sophisticated injection molding process using a precisely defined ABS plastic and silicone composition. This innovative element allows for the flexible insertion of various office supplies at multiple angles, effectively creating what the designer terms organized chaos. The transparent external components draw attention to the central red element while maintaining visual lightness. The set's development, which spanned from May 2010 to November 2011, required extensive material experimentation to overcome manufacturing challenges, particularly in achieving the optimal silicone composition for the thin, elongated rods. Each component functions independently yet harmoniously integrates with the others, offering users the freedom to repurpose elements according to their needs. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Art and Stationery Supplies Design category, represents a significant advancement in office organization solutions, embodying Dieter Rams' principle that good design is as little design as possible while addressing the perpetual challenge of maintaining workplace order without sacrificing creative flexibility.
