Cubiq House 12 Residential Building is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2021, showcasing a harmonious blend of nature-inspired design and contemporary urban living. Located within an integrated township in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, this 2,788-square-foot three-story superlink home features five bedrooms plus one auxiliary room and five bathrooms, distinguished by its innovative approach to sustainable living and architectural excellence. The design, conceived by Ken Thong and team, emphasizes the integration of natural elements through its majestic wooden ceiling feature and grand double-volume spaces that maximize natural light penetration. The interior architecture demonstrates sophisticated material selection, incorporating durable elements such as timber wood, anti-crack textured wall paint, quartz stone, and stainless steel, creating a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. A notable aspect of the design is its open-layout concept, featuring an unstructured wall removal to accommodate a large island counter that connects the dining area with a functional wet kitchen, enhancing spatial flow and visual connectivity. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in sustainable design practices through its thoughtful incorporation of natural materials, optimal space utilization, and energy-efficient features.
