Crystal Bay Villas
Crystal Bay Villas is an exemplary architectural and interior design project completed in 2017 in Sanya, China, encompassing 508 square meters of thoughtfully crafted living space that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor environments. The project represents a sophisticated departure from conventional luxury residential design through its innovative approach to spatial organization and material selection. Distinguished by its harmonious blend of modern design language with traditional elements, the villa's interior features carefully curated materials including old wood, rough linen, and batik textiles that create an atmosphere of refined authenticity. The design philosophy emphasizes the dissolution of boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, achieved through strategic use of glass sliding doors that frame and incorporate the surrounding landscape. Notable design elements include an artistically conceived drawing room corner that serves as an integrated exhibition space, demonstrating the project's commitment to incorporating cultural elements throughout the living environment. The architectural composition employs unvarnished cement walls in dark tones, contributing to a sense of calm sophistication while maintaining visual integrity with natural elements. The project's innovative approach to luxury residential design earned it the prestigious Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2018, recognizing its exceptional achievement in creating spaces that balance humanitarian values with contemporary design thinking. The project successfully addresses modern living requirements while maintaining a strong connection to traditional sensibilities, featuring carefully considered details such as the integration of coarse fabric carpeting with vibrant red accents that echo primitive beauty and earthen qualities.
