Crooked For You Album Artwork

Crooked for You Album artwork is a visually striking and conceptually sophisticated album cover design created by Swiss graphic designer Alain Aebersold, which garnered international recognition by winning the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design category. The artwork, completed in 2017, masterfully combines traditional design aesthetics with contemporary 3D visualization techniques to create a surreal landscape featuring a perfect sphere with intentionally distorted elements, serving as a profound visual metaphor for the album's title and thematic content. The design demonstrates exceptional technical prowess in its execution, particularly in its innovative approach to three-dimensional rendering while maintaining a timeless aesthetic that transcends typical digital art limitations. Drawing inspiration from classic science fiction illustrations and iconic album covers of the past, the artwork presents an otherworldly landscape that strikes a delicate balance between the familiar and the extraordinary, creating an immersive visual experience that complements the musical content. The design spans multiple formats, including a vinyl version measuring 315 x 312 x 6 millimeters and a CD version at 139.5 x 128.5 x 8 millimeters, with the artwork's composition carefully considered to maintain its impact across different scales. The project represents a significant achievement in contemporary album artwork design, demonstrating how strategic use of advanced technology, combined with thoughtful artistic direction, can create a powerful visual narrative that enhances the musical experience while pushing the boundaries of traditional album cover design conventions.
