Corrugated Paperboard

Corrugated Paperboard

Corrugated paperboard is a type of material that is commonly used in the packaging industry to create boxes, cartons, and other containers. It is made by sandwiching a fluted layer of paper between two flat layers of paper, which creates a strong and durable material that is able to withstand the rigors of shipping and handling. The fluted layer of paper in corrugated paperboard is what gives the material its strength and resilience. The flutes are essentially a series of ridges and valleys that run parallel to one another, and they are what allow the material to bend and flex without breaking. The flat layers of paper on either side of the flutes help to protect the contents of the container from damage, while also providing a smooth surface for printing and labeling. Corrugated paperboard is available in a wide range of thicknesses and grades, which makes it suitable for a variety of different applications. For example, heavier grades of corrugated paperboard are often used for shipping boxes and other containers that need to withstand rough handling and long journeys, while lighter grades are more commonly used for retail packaging and displays. Overall, corrugated paperboard is a versatile and reliable material that is widely used in the packaging industry. Its strength, durability, and flexibility make it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, and it is likely to remain a popular choice for many years to come.
