Connected Box Kids Room is an innovative interior design concept specifically created for a six-year-old boy's bedroom, exemplifying a thoughtful integration of play and study spaces through interactive furniture design. The design philosophy centers around the concept of connected boxes, utilizing geometric forms and vibrant colors to create a stimulating yet functional environment. The 10.5-square-meter space features a carefully planned layout with a 140-centimeter-high bunk bed configuration that incorporates an accessible wardrobe underneath, complemented by a expansive 200-centimeter study table that serves multiple purposes. The design's distinctive aesthetic combines white lacquered surfaces with bold accents in yellow, red, blue, green, and black, supported by color-coordinated iron components and felt cushioning. The furniture pieces are deliberately designed as interactive elements, transforming into playful components while maintaining their practical functionality. This innovative approach earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its creative solution to combining educational and recreational spaces. The design successfully addresses the transitional needs of early childhood development, creating distinct zones within a single room where study and play areas seamlessly integrate. The implementation of connected box forms in cabinet doors and drawers introduces an interactive element to the furniture itself, while the contrast between geometric furniture forms and a circular carpet adds visual interest. The elevated platform at the bed's end creates an additional play level, demonstrating sophisticated space utilization while maintaining the room's playful character.
