Concrete Enthralled Office is an innovative architectural interior design project that exemplifies the successful transformation of a 2000-square-foot tiles showroom into a sophisticated developer's office space, demonstrating excellence in space planning and material aesthetics. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2017 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India, showcases a masterful integration of exposed brick with orange hues complemented by grey concrete finishes, creating a signature aesthetic that defines the space. The design, conceived by architect Abhijit Kothari and team, emphasizes architectural and urban sensibility through careful reconsideration of volumetric experience, circulation patterns, and climate interface. The project's distinctive features include five-layered wooden plank shuttering techniques for concrete casting, executed without screws to achieve specific textural qualities, with the shuttering material later repurposed for residential entry pergolas, exemplifying sustainable design practices. The interior transformation successfully addresses the challenge of adapting an existing structural grid while creating a contemporary expression that is both elemental and environmentally conscious.
