Concerto Residence

Concerto Residence

Concerto Residence is an award-winning residential interior design project that exemplifies modern minimalist aesthetics while masterfully balancing functionality and sophistication. Located in Taipei City, this 120-square-meter dwelling underwent a comprehensive transformation that redefined spatial organization by converting a traditional four-room layout into an optimized two-bedroom configuration. The design, conceived and executed by Marcus Hsu, demonstrates exceptional spatial planning through its innovative approach to volume manipulation and material selection. A distinguishing feature of the residence is its use of premium grey marble, which creates a continuous visual narrative throughout the living and dining areas, departing from conventional mosaic applications. The project's architectural integrity is enhanced through careful consideration of structural elements, where exposed beams and columns are artfully integrated into the design scheme through layered white volumes and grooved lines. The residence showcases a harmonious blend of modern and classical elements, achieving visual depth through disciplined line work while eschewing traditional ornate decorations. The design successfully addresses the diverse preferences of its occupants through thoughtful material selection and spatial organization, incorporating extensive storage solutions and maximizing functionality. The project, completed in 2016, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and design execution.
