Computer Keyboard Trays

Computer Keyboard Trays

A computer keyboard tray is a type of ergonomic accessory that is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient typing experience for computer users. It is a specialized platform that attaches to a desk or workstation, and holds the keyboard at an optimal height and angle for the user's comfort. Keyboard trays are typically adjustable, allowing users to customize the height and tilt of the keyboard to suit their individual needs. The primary benefit of using a keyboard tray is improved ergonomics. By positioning the keyboard at the correct height and angle, users can reduce the risk of developing repetitive strain injuries, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Keyboard trays can also help to reduce neck and shoulder strain, as they allow users to maintain a more neutral posture while typing. Keyboard trays are available in a variety of styles and materials, including metal, plastic, and wood. Some trays feature built-in wrist rests or mouse pads, while others are designed to accommodate both a keyboard and a mouse. Some keyboard trays are also designed to be retractable, allowing users to slide the tray out of the way when not in use. While keyboard trays can be a valuable ergonomic accessory for many computer users, they are not always necessary or appropriate for every situation. Some users may prefer to simply adjust the height of their chair or desk to achieve a more comfortable typing position. Additionally, users with limited desk space may find that a keyboard tray takes up too much room.
