Computer College Exhibition Space is an innovative interior architectural renovation project that exemplifies the intersection of educational heritage and technological advancement through thoughtful spatial design. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project encompasses a comprehensive transformation of 900 square meters of existing infrastructure into a multi-functional exhibition hall, conference room, and show room, designed to showcase both historical achievements and cutting-edge research developments. The design philosophy embraces minimalist aesthetics inspired by technological themes, featuring a sophisticated dual-scheme approach that contrasts light and dark environments to create distinct atmospheric experiences. The exhibition hall and conference room utilize white metal panels and grey terrazzo, incorporating integrated exhibition panels, video screens, and security appliances seamlessly within wall panels, while the show room employs a darker palette with anthracite metal panels alternating with framing light strips. The project's technical sophistication is evident in its Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementation, which harmoniously combines interior design, furniture planning, exhibition design, and lighting solutions into a cohesive whole. The space's adaptability is enhanced through innovative features such as built-in cabinets, integrated linear LED lighting systems, and flexible, demountable installations that facilitate annual updates to research presentations. Designed by Bennet Marburger and Ji Zhang, this project demonstrates exceptional attention to practical challenges, including the necessity for continuous operation during renovation and the implementation of comprehensive dust protection measures. The design's success in creating a multi-functional environment that preserves open spaces while integrating information displays and research exhibits has earned recognition through the prestigious A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category.
