Compact Air Purifier is an innovative air quality improvement device designed to address environmental challenges in developing regions while considering economic accessibility. This sophisticated yet economical solution, designed by Xu Chen and Rong Zhang, represents a significant advancement in air purification technology through its innovative structural design that merges multiple components into a unified system. The device achieves a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 200m3/h while maintaining a compact form factor of 308mm x 153mm x 461mm, making it suitable for various small-scale interior environments. Its distinctive design features include an elegantly curved top center that houses a versatile infrared receiver compatible with multiple remote control systems, creating a cohesive visual focal point. The purifier's engineering excellence lies in its simplified construction, comprising just five main parts through the strategic integration of filter support components, aesthetic elements, and air tunnel mechanisms. This streamlined design approach not only reduces manufacturing complexity and production costs but also maintains high performance standards. Developed between April 2019 and March 2020, this air purifier exemplifies thoughtful industrial design by addressing both functional and socioeconomic considerations. The product, which received the Silver A' Design Award in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Products Design category, demonstrates exceptional achievement in combining cost-effectiveness with environmental responsibility. Its white body with grey top aesthetic, manufactured through ABS injection molding, reflects a minimalist approach that emphasizes both functionality and visual integration within diverse living spaces.
