Coexistence Residential House

Coexistence Residential House

Coexistence Residential House is an award-winning architectural masterpiece that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements with contemporary living spaces. Located in New Taipei City, this 183-square-meter residential project, completed in 2014, represents a revolutionary approach to modern dwelling design through its innovative interpretation of the relationship between human habitation and natural surroundings. The design philosophy centers on the seamless incorporation of sunshine, air, and water elements, transformed through both direct and abstract meta-transitions into architectural features that pay homage to nature's inherent order. The residence distinguishes itself through its unique spatial organization, abandoning traditional room divisions in favor of flowing, rounded routes differentiated by varied flooring materials and ceiling heights. The interior design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully employs materials including granite tiles, LED light strips, grey mirrors, black paint-coated steel plates, wood veneer boards, and tempered grey glass to create a sophisticated aesthetic dialogue with its environment. The project's distinctive features include its dynamic response to natural light, with interior spaces that transform as the sky's colors shift throughout the day, and strategically placed vegetation at various heights that brings the natural world indoors. The design's emphasis on creating spaces conducive to inner peace is achieved through the careful elimination of unnecessary elaboration, resulting in a minimalist approach that celebrates the connection between indoor and outdoor environments while maintaining functionality and aesthetic excellence.
