Cloud Castle Lishui Landscape Design
Cloud Castle Lishui Landscape Design is an innovative landscape architecture project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of built environment with natural surroundings, completed in April 2021 in Zhejiang Province, China. This comprehensive landscape design, spanning 7,828 square meters, masterfully combines architectural elements with natural features to create a seamless transition between human-made structures and the environment. The design philosophy centers on creating an atmospheric space where architecture and landscape converge organically, utilizing green corridors and water features to guide visitors through thoughtfully crafted spaces. The project employs sustainable materials and technologies, including PC artificial imitation stone for paving and an innovative underground rainwater collection system, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship. The design incorporates multiple landscape elements, including a 300-meter green corridor, carefully planned parking spaces, and a roof garden that provides panoramic views. The project's distinctive approach to spatial organization creates various experiential zones, from contemplative gardens to interactive spaces, all designed to enhance the connection between residents and nature. The design team, led by Guanyu Lou, focused on eliminating traditional boundaries between built and natural environments, creating what they termed a cloud-like integration with the surroundings. This innovative approach earned the project a Golden A' Design Award in the Landscape Planning and Garden Design category, recognizing its exceptional contribution to contemporary landscape architecture. The design successfully addresses the challenges of modern urban living by providing a sophisticated solution that combines aesthetic appeal with practical functionality, creating an environment that particularly appeals to young urban professionals while contributing to the area's overall development and vitality.
