CLINO Wheelbarrow Table

CLINO Wheelbarrow Table

CLINO Wheelbarrow Table is an innovative outdoor furniture design that ingeniously reimagines the traditional wheelbarrow concept for contemporary garden dining and leisure purposes. This versatile piece, designed by Dario Rose in Rome between 2014 and 2015, represents a sophisticated fusion of form and function, featuring a distinctive structure composed of two different planes crafted from either metal or wood, mounted on a galvanized and baking-painted iron framework. The design's durability is enhanced through the application of polyester resins that provide exceptional resistance to atmospheric agents and UV radiation, while its natural ash tree (Larix decidua) components are sourced with strict adherence to ethical and social responsibility standards, certified by PEFC for sustainable forestry practices. The table's most notable feature is its front wheel mechanism, equipped with an inflatable air chamber, enabling effortless mobility that allows users to chase shade or relocate for optimal comfort in outdoor settings. Distinguished by its collapsible design that reduces to a mere 40 centimeters in height, the table measures 670 x 850 millimeters with a height of 700 millimeters when fully assembled. Each piece is uniquely handcrafted, marked, and identifiable, reflecting artisanal excellence and attention to detail. The design, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2016, demonstrates exceptional innovation in addressing contemporary outdoor furniture needs while paying homage to Mediterranean street vendor traditions. Its practical folding mechanism, combined with weather-resistant properties and sustainable material choices, positions it as a significant contribution to modern furniture design, particularly suited for dynamic outdoor living spaces.
