City Rooftop Residential

City Rooftop Residential

City Rooftop Residential is an exemplary interior architectural project that masterfully blends contemporary design elements with historical Polish aesthetics, situated in a modern residential building in Warsaw's historical district. The 120-square-meter apartment, designed by Roland Stanczyk, represents a sophisticated interpretation of Polish architectural heritage from the 1920s and 1930s, seamlessly integrating modern luxury with traditional craftsmanship. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases meticulous attention to historical detail while incorporating modern amenities such as hidden air-conditioning systems and contemporary spatial planning. The interior features bespoke furniture and doors crafted from real wood, incorporating design elements characteristic of Warsaw's interwar period, complemented by carefully selected works from 20th-century Polish artists. The space is thoughtfully divided into a kitchen connected with living areas, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a hall, all designed to serve as a sophisticated urban retreat for a couple seeking to engage with Warsaw's cultural life. The project demonstrates exceptional expertise in material selection, combining traditional woodwork with modern Italian furniture, marble flooring, and custom stone details cut using water jet technology. The design's success lies in its careful balance between preserving historical architectural elements while creating a thoroughly modern living space, exemplifying how contemporary residential design can respectfully integrate with historical contexts while maintaining functionality and aesthetic sophistication.
