Cifi Ningbo Honored Palace Sales Gallery

Cifi Ningbo Honored Palace Sales Gallery is an innovative architectural and interior design project completed in 2021 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, that exemplifies the seamless integration of modern lifestyle elements with sophisticated commercial space design. The gallery, which earned the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a groundbreaking approach to experiential retail design through its unique incorporation of literary, cultural, and artistic elements. Designed by Sun Hongtao, Zheng Shuifang, and Lu Jia, the space draws inspiration from airplanes and sea-crossing bridges, reflecting the dynamic urban character of its location. The design's distinctive features include a meticulously curated bookstore experience, integrated coffee spaces, and record collections, creating a multifaceted cultural destination. A notable design element is the graduated arrangement of color-coordinated books above the bar area, creating a sophisticated visual gradient that required precise attention to detail during installation. The space is characterized by its thoughtful integration of contemporary lifestyle elements, featuring a recurring bear motif that serves as a memorable brand touchpoint throughout the interior. The designers' philosophy of simplicity, uniqueness, and natural elements is evident in every aspect of the space, from the careful material selection to the innovative spatial organization. This award-winning project demonstrates excellence in functional layout design, material selection, and the creative use of space, setting new standards for retail gallery design while fostering a meaningful connection between commercial objectives and cultural experiences.
